We all know how important enzymes are for proper digestion. Proper digestion enzymes support healthy weight and body condition. However, most people don't know that an animal with deficient digestive enzymes is at increased risk for allergies, skin and ear infections, autoimmune disease, musculoskeletal disorders (arthritis) and many other chronic inflammatory conditions.
The reason behind this is that enzyme deficiency leads to improperly digested food particles passing through the digestive system. These
undigested food particles create an inflammatory response in the
gastrointestinal tract. Think of all of the animals with
inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) sensitive stomachs, and food
allergies. The inflamed gastrointestinal tract starts to fail
as a protective barrier and the content of the gastrointestinal
tract, which include bacteria, toxins, yeast and undigested food
particles, begin to 'leak' into the bloodstream. These
substances would not be able to penetrate a healthy gastrointestinal
tract.
Once in the bloodstream, these substances stimulate an immune
response and act as toxins in the body. This leads to an
inappropriate immune response or allergies and a toxic overload on
the entire body. The organs of detoxification (liver, kidneys,
lungs and skin) are especially stressed. All this may have
been avoided by supplementing with a good digestive enzyme product.
However, not all enzymes are created equal. RITEZYME™
is a highly active, all natural, vegetarian source, digestive enzyme
supplement in a rice bran base. RITEZYME™ does not
contain any type of sugar including lactose (milk sugar). The
granular texture is user friendly and increases patability with the
animals. RITEZYME™ has three formulas available,
Equine, Canine and Feline.
Organic alfalfa leaf powder is added to the horse formula for a
source of various nutrients including, but not limited to, trace
amounts of vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, and beta carotene.
I recommend RITEZYME™ in my practice for patients of all
ages and stages of health. Adding RITEZYME™ to the
animal's feed will help improve the digestion and absorption of life
giving nutrients and to reduce the inflammatory and immune stress on
the body by having a healthier gastrointestinal tract.
In summary, it does not matter whether you are feeding a two pound
kitten or a 1,400 lb horse to compete in the Olympic Equestrian
Games, RITEZYME™ will be beneficial at all stages of life
and health. As a veterinarian with extensive training and
certifications in many holistic modalities, I am presented with a
large number of animals with chronic allergies and inflammatory
disease. One of the first and most important treatments
available to me is improving their diet, digestion, and
gastrointestinal health. RITEZYME™ is an essential
component of this treatment.
